wifi
I've tried Armbian and Ubuntu 18.04 neither of them seem to recognize my dongle. I can't plug into my router and have to use a dongle to connect but I can't seem to figure out a way to get the dongle on and active. Neither OS even sees the dongle.
Do I need a specific dongle or type of wifi card? Maybe use one of the other OSes, Raspbian or Elec or some such? Buy a RPI3 and and forget about these troubles? What do I do?
Thanks buds, super appreciate it.

I have only tried with LibreELEC and CoreELEC but my dongle is working fine. It's this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FWMEFES/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Is your dongle listed as compatible with RPi? Not all chips are supported.
It's nothing to do with LePotato, it all depends on whether the OS has the kernel driver for your dongle, it may be a case that you just need to use modprobe to load it.
Both CE and LE have the driver for RTL8188 based adapters.
Realtek based cards are generally the worst to buy because of the lack of mainline driver support and I would imagine you would have the same trouble with the RPi3.
@marchegiano See and follow the first post and post your USB dongle ID: http://forum.loverpi.com/discussion/20/usb-driver-support-for-wifi-bluetooth-and-other-devices-need-feedback#latest
