Sound issues.

Hi. I'm running Raspbian (Stretch) on my Le Potato and i can't get my sound to work.
i have updated and upgraded, forced trough 3.5mm jack with no luck, i can't even open up volume mixer.
does anyone know how to fix it? or anyone having the same problem?

When i try to open up volume mixer i get this message: No ALSA audio device were detected. Enable the internal audio device, or connect a USB or HAT audio device.

and since i'm going to use this device for mediaplaying, is there any way to allocate more memory for the gpu?

The 3.5mm is a CVBS jack, not a sound jack. You need a special cable with the poles in the right places.

Have just received  La Frite AML-S805X-AC. Doesn't mention sound output in Specification. If it was intended to use as a media Device via Retropie I would have thought this was essential. So puzzled by this.
