Which board has the best GPU/VPU support?
Hi there,
I am trying to understand which board has the best GPU/VPU driver support on Linux to make my own media box.
Ideally I would use it to play movies and work as a NAS as well; from what I could read it seems like ALL-H3-CC H3 1GB is my best pick due to the Allwinner Display Engine 2.0?
Otherwise I would pick a more powerful board, but it seems like they have no current mainline support? I am looking at the H5 version and the Le Potato and Renegade possibilities.
Thanks

For mainline, Le Potato or Tritium both work. Renegade is the farthest behind because Rockchip does most of the mainlining and they're on Linux 4.4. Le Potato has better codec support as well so we recommend that platform.
@loverpi thanks for your reply. I have started this page in the wiki: http://wiki.loverpi.com/sbc-brand:libre-computer-feature-comparison
Do you think it would be useful? Feel free to change/adapt it.
I would be interested (and maybe other users as well) in knowing the current features status to use hardware acceleration on Linux for different boards, as I think that is a major selling point of those specific boards (LibreElec).
