LoveRPi PoE HAT for Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+

We are proud to announce a new PoE HAT design for the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+. It utilizes the 4-pin PoE header to provide power to the 5V pins on the 40-pin GPIO header. While designing this product, we carefully analyzed the designs of other products on the market and addressed areas that we found to be deficient in engineering or quality. Our PoE HAT is compliant with IEEE 802.3af and maintains the highest level of voltage stability and current delivery available on the market today. Onboard header provides 5V and 3.3V pins for attaching fans to maintain optimal temperature for performance. It is available on Amazon.

We recommend pairing it with our LoveRPi Active Cooling Media Center PC Case as well as SoC heatsinks. This case includes an active cooling brushless fan for long term stability and maximum performance.

Can you please provide more detail instructions on how to assemble? I placed it over the GPIO header and it wouldn't start with a PoE switch attach to it. Also the leads of the cooling case/fan are too tall and won't allow the POE hat sit on the GPIO

Pictures? What case are you using with it? Is the PoE switch 802.3af? Does it have enough power budget?

Can you please upload photos of the PoE hat assembled onto a Raspberry Pi?  Neither this website, nor Amazon, show how it looks installed.

@Mark Please see the review section. A customer uploaded a photo that you can reference. The case he is using is not the recommended one since it is passively cooled.

Is there a way to programmatically turn off the LED on the POE hat?

@palyman No, it is directly connected to the power output. You can only manually cover it with tape.

Also interested in documentation. Can you obtain temperature readings from the PoE? What are the specs for circuitry protection (esp. at what temperature does it perform a thermal shutdown?) - Transient Overvoltage, Undervoltage Lockout, Thermal Shutdown, Foldback Current Limiting?

@Jozefaz - check the 4 pin connector. It's a surface mount and I've found it comes loose WAY too often.

Which models are you testing against? Do you have photos of your setup?

Just bought this on Amazon. Didn't work when hooked up to my Unifi 8 150W poe switch.

Is there a jumper or something?

UPDATE:  I had a small heatsink that wouldn't let the hat seat properly. I removed it and pushed the hat all the way down. Works great.
