the post on libre web site says within the next 2 weeks for their android best
to wait, I had to use a tool in Chinese to make a bootable android from Baidu
jeepthing...thank you for taking the time to answer...appreciate that
I was able to download the android image from Baidu, but havent tried it on the board at all. Someone on the indiegogo said they had success with it. Google translate should work to help navigate pan.baidu.com but might take 2 tries. Also jdownloader2 can be used to easily fetch the files if you dont want to sign up for a baidu account.
JeffMeden...would you be able to upload it to dropbox or somewhere? Tried Baidu again with the translator, but I still can't navigate it. Thanks
JeffMeden...I managed to get the file by using jdownloader2 as you suggested. Thank you
I had to use their tool SD_Firmware_Tool_v1.46 to flash android to SD card since it
adds the boot files, I tried android on a eMMC card too, tried a 4K HDR video demo
file and it worked fine, I since put Ubuntu on the emmc and going to wait for next
version of android
@jeepthing - Where did you get SD_Firmware_Tool_v1.46?
at firefly's download page for ROC , sd firmware upgrade tool opens to folder
tools, inside has 3 folders for tools v1.46 is one, firefly has new tool to download
and flash built by etcher lets you pick from different OS's , but they zipped
the GZ file for libreELEC so the tool won't open flash the double zipped img,
I could not get android to boot using their new online tool either just with old
tool
I finally found my problem was actually my monitor needing an unsupported video mode. I did find the firmware tool but it wouldn't download any of the images without failing so it wasn't any better than what I had been doing.
