When will the LibreELEC image be available? where can i download it? it was stated at the campaign page that "It supports Ubuntu, Debian, LibreELEC, Lakka, RetroPie, Android Oreo, and many more Linux-based distributions."  Thanks

I'd be keen to get an answer to this question too! Looks like Libre Computer have just stopped trying to answer these hard questions, no response on Kickstarter or their own forums. Not a great experience.

Yeah got this to use as a LibreElec device. On the wiki page the link just takes you to a unable to find this page location.

This is coming. There's some announcements that are coming for Kodi.

Libre Computer has joined the Kodi Foundation. HDMI audio issue is already fixed and will be pushed with new images.

When can we expect these new images? Is the audio fix something that can be pushed through an update to existing installs?

Sound and gpu acceleration appears to be working good now with the new images. However I am unable to get Kodi to run. It will install from the default repo but will never load, complaining about not being able to compile vertex shaders

Kodi from repos are really old. You can't really use them in any way shape or form. Wait for LibreELEC image.

This is more  dependent on the Kodi/LibreELEC guys.

why don't you release the libreelec image you used in your updates/demo? also, i noticed that libreelec has stopped development on s805x. also, i haven't seen any mention on kodi's forum regarding s805x soc. Can you please give us the link for the image. when you said that the board suports it, then at the very least you have tried the image on this board.

After searching the libreelec forums for a few days and seeing no reference to s805x at all, I just decided to get a different board to use for that. I'm not sure what I'll end up using this LaFrite for now

S805X, S905X, S905D are the same chip in different packaging. The software works across the board.

I can't get the Le Potato image to work, or any of the community AML s905x images to work either (have tried using the supplied dtb for s805x and the one posted by loverpie)

Software, not device tree. That still needs to be included in the image. But you can have an image that boot on Le Potato and La Frite. La Frite doesn't require the bootloader from the image since it is on SPI NOR. Just wait for an announcement.

me too. as soon as i read the Libreelec word, i decided to support this project. all the more when i saw the video of libreelec running on this board. i am planning of replacing my rpi 3b+ with this one since this has h.265 decode.

why don't you release this one for the meantime so that we can "use" this sbc.

Christian Hewitt of LibreELEC/Kodi created an image for La Frite already using mainline Linux 4.19. It features the DRM/video work of Neil and Maxime of BayLibre using V4L Linux subsystem. Special thanks to the assistance of Nicolas Dufresne of Collabora and many other community members to contributed.

The work is still beta but H.265 and H.264 decode are running well. Here's a photo of 1080P HEVC (H.265) running with LibreELEC.

Software is released when its done. You are basically talking to an echo chamber. It neither accelerates or decelerate any ongoing work.

if i may ask, when did yoy give us a clear status of the libreelec image? the one below is as clear as a mud.

Have you posted posted those here? is your la frite ever mentioned in libreelec? you could have posted it here since you have those info, but what did you do with those info? you kept it yourself. i am a newbie and just supported your campaign due to promise that it will run LE.  you were the one who also posted those flowery words

and now that we ask for update or the steps on how the image you showed off in your ks post or the image itself, you try to tell us to go to somewhere else. its like you have the medicine we need but yoy dont want to share it and instead tell us to look for it ourselves.
have you ever answered clearly when the libreelec inage be released? since the start of your campaign you put there that it will support LE but until now we have not got that image not just the steps how to make it.

As we explained before, posting here doesn't change anything. It is an echo chamber. It'll be done when it's done. That's how open source community projects work.

In your campaign, you didn't say "it will  support" LibreElec.

As CrispinBasillo  has pointed out already: On October 20th 2018 (whilst the campaign was still active) you followed up with the claim that there was already a LibreElec/Kodi beta image. 

I made  my purchase based on those specific claims.  Now you're here stating that you mislead us & that you still don't have a build 11 months later.

Thankyou for for admitting to the misleading advertising, I'll be filing a complaint with Kickstarter.
There's a "report this project to kickstarter" at the bottom of the campaign page, I advise others who feel misled to do the same.
