Is it my USB problem?

Hello libre and thanks for the great outcome you provided with only 9 dollars. I have the 1gb version of the board and I boot with the latest debian xfce from a random usb 3.0. My board is quite slow, especially during browsing. It even struggle to play YouTube videos on 480p. Is it expected or is it a problem that my USB has? I am pretty sure everything will be better with libreelec about video playing. Keep up the good work!

Are you running the board at 1080P resolution? Try 720p. The difference is night and day depending on the desktop resolution.

@ASTOU The hardware video decoder is not yet supported in Linux and userspace application pipeline yet. In Linux 5.4 kernel side support for the hardware video decoder is enabled in V4L2 for H.264. The are patches for H.265 as well. However userspace plumbing from V4L2 through various libraries to Chrome must be completed before you get accelerated video on desktop and in browser. This work is ongoing.
