eMMC problem - intermittent, slow, and KB problems

I was getting the odd freeze at boot not recognizing the eMMC. Now it was seeming that the booting from the eMMMC was super slow. It was a half hour or so and I’m was still on the Debian “Loading Linux 4.19.64+” message still. - GRUB KO think.  I unplugged my Dell keyboard that happens to have a usb hub in it and the boot was lightning fast. I just plug it in after the kernel loads and it’s fine. Is this a U-boot not dealing with another KB well I wonder?
