Looks like Armbian has merged code for rk3399... Looks like there's hope in testing the renegade elite with it.

Linux 5.4 has most of the features upstreamed already. We are targeting support for Ubuntu 20.04's EBBR ready images. There is already contract underway to get upstream SPI NOR image. https://forum.loverpi.com/discussion/861/upstream-u-boot-status#latest

When I say merged code, I meant from upstrean 5.3 and now 5.4, same for u-boot code... So yeah. Obviously we knew this.

I built an image with the armbian docker build guide for the renegade elite and it booted with video (had to disable xradio WiFi driver first), after updating with apt I think it downgraded the kernel to 5.3 as now there is no video or PCI express. It's been running for 2 days now, but have to ssh into it.

Linux 5.4 has been tagged and we have started to do all the integration. u-boot SPI NOR with upstream 2020.01 release is already in beta and will be released around Christmas.

Please stay in line and do not try to jump the queue.

Patience is a virtue and if you want something from libre computer/loverpi you might have to wait until Saint Infinity

Armbian folks are having a hard time with initial boot from the board due to USB-C power. Could you look into this and see which code was in kernel 4.4 for this so it can be retrofitted into 5.4 upstream?
